Pricing Approach

Pricing depends on the type of service, filing complexity, number of income sources, number of states, business activity, bookkeeping condition, payroll needs, and whether prior-year or amended filings are involved. During the consultation, we review your situation and provide clear pricing before work begins.

A Schedule C with clean books is very different from a multi-member LLC or S corporation with payroll, multiple states, and several K-1s. We price based on the actual work required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of business returns do you prepare?

Schedule C for sole proprietors and single-member LLCs, Form 1065 partnership returns, Form 1120-S S-corporation returns, and the matching California filings including Form 568 for LLCs and Form 100S for S corporations.

I'm an S-corp owner. Do you review reasonable compensation?

Yes. As part of preparing an S-corp return, we review owner W-2 compensation versus distributions, look at the work being performed, and flag if the salary appears unreasonably low for the role.

My bookkeeping isn't finished. Can you still help?

Yes. We can complete catch-up or clean-up bookkeeping first, then prepare the business return from a clean set of books. Many of our business clients combine both services.

Do you coordinate the business return with my personal return?

Yes. K-1s from pass-through entities flow directly to your personal return, and we prepare both together so the numbers line up and estimated taxes are planned correctly.

Do you help with the $800 California minimum tax and LLC fees?

Yes. We explain the $800 annual franchise tax, the California LLC gross-receipts fee thresholds, and the 1.5% S-corp tax so you understand what is owed and when.
